In July 1969 the Beatles returned to the famous Abbey Road studios where, seven years earlier, they had first begun their incredible partnership with producer George Martin. The band recaptured the magic and camaraderie from their earliest sessions and the album they created, aptly titled Abbey Road, would top the charts in both the UK and the US. It would be the last album recorded by the Beatles. (Let It Be would be released after Abbey Road, but the recordings were made first, in January 1969.)
Illustrated with dozens and dozens of full-color images, many rarely scene by fans, The Beatles Get Back to Abbey Road is a celebration of one of the greatest albums of the classic rock era, and a treasure chest for fans. Few albums have included more memorable songs. “Come Together” and “Here Comes the Sun” are timeless classics. George Harrison’s “Something” is one of the most beautiful love songs of all time. Ringo’s quicky classic “Octopus’s Garden” perfectly represents his joyful body of work. The “Abbey Road Medley,” including “You Never Give Me Your Money,” “She Came in Through the Bathroom Window,” “Carry that Weight,” and more is considered one of the most creative and important works in popular music, informing and inspiring generations of musicians for decades.
No Beatles book collection is complete without this unique tribute. It’s the perfect gift for any fan.
